THE BUILDING OF HEALTH-CONDUCIVE, AFFORDABLE & EFFICIENT EC0-DWELLINGS WITH LOW CARBON IMPACT

The building vision is to first construct twelve small eco-dwellings with solar and-or wind energy units, plant roofs, small permaculture home gardens and rain water catchment cisterns embedded behind the architecture, all of which merges artistically and synergistically within the natural environment that surrounds these bio-material based dwellings. Although forms can vary, we would recommend round structures, with preference for nest-like, oval-egg shaped, duodecahydron shaped, pentagonal and octogona structured dwellings, built with bio-material, including, but not limited to the cob-wood structure (see examples built by the "mudgirls") and lava tube structures (See also footnote A below). Each unit would use rain water catchment cisterns for outdoor showers and washing, the grey waters of which would be recycled via filtering plants and stones.
" Ken, His wife Diane and son Kenny in front of their new "9-week" owner built log home for under 10,000 dollars". Read more on how this family built this eco-home.
To these small structures, dry toilet outhouses would be associated. A common kitchen equipped with vita-mixers, champion juicers, excalibur dehydrators, sprouting jars and an underground cooling room is also envisioned.
Building among live trees is a technique that helps to increase our body's electronic and oxygen flow, so we need a dense & lush forest, the denser the more negative ions and oxygen. These eco-shelters will be highly innovative and earthy, using the best technologies combined with local natural materials (e.g., medicinal plant turfed roofs, thanks to which the dripping rain water tank will provide aromatherapeutic bath and-or shower water, with a high "rh" (ohms) current).

When possible, we will build sprouted strawbale-lavander walls, in this way, when the Sun shines on the outside walls of the straw bale house, the lavender oils will get activated thereby refreshing and deodorizing the entire inner sanctuary (e.g. home) and keeping the insects away. Timber cladding with bamboo gutters and many other health producing building techniques will be encourage, including but not limited to extra large sun windows (click here for the health benefits of the sun) adobe and "isochanvre" brick building as in Europe. Some of what Earthhaven eco community builds could be food for thought.
A non polluting and solar powered "circulation of air system" will also be integrated within our eco-shelters. Click here to examine a few eco-construction techniques. As for the above-mentioned dry or composting toilets and grey & black water filtration & recycling systems, we recommend the Findhorn model.

These dwellings will be unique, they will reflect the personality of the builders, the character of the landscape and the principles of sacred geometry and shen shui. Although ecological house building freedom is the norm, the prefered shape of our eco-shelters will be round, as power is in the roundness of a circle, like the form of a bird's nest. Or the shape of our Galaxy's planets, as opposed to energy dissipating square boxes, (although log homes can be an exception).
These houses will become a successful demonstration of low carbon and low waste impact building that maximizes the lifeforce of its dwellers, animals included. Each household will have access to enough garden land to be self sufficient. If the County Code people have problems with these structures, we will invite them some St John Wort tea and a free "eco-construction" workshop and argue, including in court if we must, that these living structures meet the safety, cost-effective, health, carbon-impact, thermal, anti-seismic, water-proof, fire-proof and environmentally sustainable standards. The right to live in an eco-friendly house whose building material costs under ten thousands dollars must be protected. For those who can not afford 30 years of monthly expenses, we must have the option, the freedom to refuse the slavery of mainstream bank mortgages. At one point, strawbale houses were illegal. Today, they are not. Thanks to creative audacity, persistence, litigation and hard "pounding" work. (For more on the housing front, please click here).

Footnote A. Lave tubes exist on Earth and also have been found on Mars. The cylinder-shaped caverns can be carved out by lava flows, volcanic eruptions, seismic activity or ground collapse resulting from meteoroid strikes.
This straw-bale house used heavy pre-cut local timbers and 23-inch thick compressed straw bales, which provide insulation values much higher than can be achieved with typical fiberglass. The exterior is ready for a blast of plaster to be sprayed on and trowelled to a smooth finish.
Above, a modern green roof (California Academy of Sciences). Constructed for low maintenance by intentionally neglecting a wide selection of native plant species, with only the hardiest surviving varieties selected for installation on the roof. This type of living green roof allows the release of excess water during intense periods of thaw or heavy rainfall and serves to deflect the warm solar rays in the hot summer months.
Green roofs are used to: Reduce heating (by adding mass and thermal resistance value).A 2005 study by Brad Bass of the University of Toronto showed that green roofs can also reduce heat loss and energy consumption in winter conditions. Reduce cooling (by evaporative cooling) loads on a building by fifty to ninety percent. Especially if it is glassed in so as to act as a terrarium and passive solar heat reservoir — a concentration of green roofs in an urban area can even reduce the city's average temperatures during the summer. Reduce stormwater run off — see water-wise gardening. Natural Habitat Creation — see urban wilderness. Filter pollutants and carbon dioxide out of the air which helps lower disease rates such as asthma — see living wall. Filter pollutants and heavy metals out of rainwater. Help to insulate a building for sound; the soil helps to block lower frequencies and the plants block higher frequencies. If installed correctly many living roofs can contribute to LEED points. They also help to increase roof life span, including, but not limited to increasing real estate value, as a green living roof is a key component of an autonomous building. ON SACRED GEOMETRY GUIDING PRINCIPLES
1. Relating to land with awareness, respect and interacting with it via shamanic skills not forgetting that synergy, symmetry and oneness are three of the underlying threads of exixtence.
2. Mapping the chosen site with magnetic, seismic and pollution maps which can help to find the power points, the hot spots and the devitalized zones which we want to avoid.
3. Maximizing South light and healing and heat structures.
4. Chosing bio-materials which can hold fractal charge – such as sand, wood, wool, straw, earth, stone, natural fabrics and some selected metals.
5. Build with respect, meaningfulness and playfulness by trusting the process, allowing the building to become a fractal attractor and a charged capacitor. The process should be based on the heart chakra and the laws of nature.

ON BUILDING VIA THE SACRED GEOMETRY AND HEALTH PARADIGM
Thanks to the dissolution of the fog of un-awareness, or the new waves of hightened awareness, there are new ways of living and being in the world that are more sustainable, healthier, beautiful, amazing and fun. One of these new ways of being is manisfested via the holistic and natural approaches to health, justice and sustainability. In this realm, much of our basic needs can be met simply, from given birth, to dying, eating, food preparation, gardening agriculture, healing, shelter, schooling, natural fibers, energy sustainability, science, decision-making, practicing law, meditation and inter-relating with life, all of which are based on the holistic paradigm characterized by the consciousness of inter-connectedness, the symmetry forces of Nature and the synergy process of biology.
It is in this perspective that we need to build living structures that will enhance our immune system electrically, equipped with sacred healing spaces and with natural biological capacitors (a space and place that invite and attract waves of charge to interplay in a healing way).
